A handsome knight and his princesses!

Calvin loves wearing his new knight costume.

We don't have any swords, but a fairy wand will work.

This video captures what normally happens at our house with such royalty!

Easter Celebration

My sweet kids! Thank you Papa and Mimi for these Easter outfits!

Oyumino Kid's - Sunday school
Our kids love coming here, the Bible story,
memory verse and songs are all bilingual.
This is a more natural way for the girls to learn Japanese.

Easter egg hunt - Japanese style!
First, the boys hid the eggs and the girls found them.
Then the girls hid the same number of eggs and the boys found them.
After they were all found, the adults opened all of the eggs and divided
the candy up equally among the kids and passed out the candy.
Even egg hunting is a group activity!

Calvin loved the eggs!

Our sweet friends, William and Isabel.
They left for America at the end of the week. We will miss you!

I loved hearing these ladies sing, "Thine be the glory!"

Enjoying the Cherry Blossoms (Sakura)

We love cherry blossom season here in Japan!
The cherry blossoms only last about one week...so sad,
so we try to see them as much as possible during that week.

Calvin - one year old

Annabella - three and a half

Olivia - five years old

We had a good friend from Atlanta, Allen Lo, come visit us.
Thanks for coming Allen!

The beautiful walking path near our house. This picture doesn't do the beauty justice!

Calvin and his car

I love this little video of Calvin driving his car. He truly is such a little boy.
I didn't fully realize that there was a difference between boys and girls even at this age, but this video proves it. My girls would have never done this. Enjoy!

Calvin's Birthday

Calvin's Birthday actually started in America.
He had his birthday on our trip back to Japan.
He was able to see Mimi Harrington on his birthday morning.

Olivia and Calvin on the airplane....having a birthday cookie!

Birthday lunch at Wendy's in Seattle. He is so cute!

We celebrated his birthday at our house in Japan about a week later.
The birthday boy having fun with balloons.
He was more into his balloons than the presents. This drove the girls crazy!

His first presents

Calvin loves guitars, just like his Daddy.

Panda Birthday Cupcakes

We celebrated with our dear friends the Nolls.
Calvin and Martha were born eleven days apart.

Dazed candle looks

Calvin loved his cupcake!

Calvin and Martha loved "sharing" from each other's tray.
Such a fun celebration of these sweet little kids!

The Pfeil Pfamily Weekend

We were able to spend a whole weekend with the Pfeil clan.

Here we are...all 17 1/2 of us
(Jon's sister, Sara, is expecting a baby any day now!)

We have one of these pictures for each of our kids.
Their first curious look at Grandpa.

Sweet Olivia with Grandpa and Grandma.

Olivia and Annabella loved learning about hockey from their cousins.
This is a new sport to our family of girls...maybe someday Calvin will pick it up!

This is truly Olivia's first love, animals!
Olivia sat holding this guinea pig for about 30 minutes!

The guys rocking out with Guitar Hero.

Calvin meeting Great Aunt Mary for the first time. So sweet!

Everyone sitting down for dinner together.

Celebrating all of the grandkid's birthdays.

We played family relay races together.
This was us holding tennis balls with our foreheads.
Lots of laughter and fun together.

Just sitting quietly with Ezra playing with dominoes.

The kids loved going to the Cincinnati Children's Museum.

The room with massive amounts of balls was Calvin's favorite part.

The girls loved having their faces painted...this was their first time!

Calvin hanging out with Uncle Dave

Great Aunt Mary and Calvin sharing a giggle

Grandpa and Grandma with our kids

All of the cousins

We are so thankful that we were able to
have all of this time to be with our families.

Thank you everyone for traveling and making it possible to be together.
This was a weekend our kids will not soon forget!
